OUR FINANCES: HOW YOU CAN HELP

We do not want anyone to contribute to the ChristLight Ocean Mission unless they truly feel the Lord is leading them to do so. Please don't do so on impulse. It's essential to be certain that God wants you to!

We are very aware that the Lord expects us to be good stewards, and we strive for this. Any contributions will not be wasted on irrelevancies. We do most of the work on the boat ourselves, only bringing in other people to do what we can't manage alone. We don't have extravagant equipment or living conditions; our boat carries only the necessities for good seamanship, health, and ministry.

We are aware that you may be reticent about giving work, funds, or equipment to an as yet unknown entity, and we totally respect that. We realise that only those who either know us personally, have been a part of the churches we have been in, have attended my ladies' groups, have been visiting our online ministry site for the last 8 or 10 years, or who received our daily devotional ministry for the two years God granted it, can be sure of our hearts. Of course, as time goes by we will become more proven. Our quarterly magazine will become a regular issue, and we hope that the work we do will speak for itself, and that my Christian books and writings will help establish us in your eyes.

We are not yet a registered charity. We have no idea how to go about becoming one, or whether we would even qualify as one (anyone out there with knowledge of this, please let us know?) - we would like to find out, as soon as we have a gap in which to do so. Unfortunately until then we can't offer tax breaks or anything else on your gifts. If someone out there can organise this for us, we would be very grateful. Thank you in advance! If you do send monies, or email us, please remember that we may not be able to answer you immediately as we might be at sea, or out of reach of an internet connection. If we are at sea, it may be two or three weeks before we respond. When we are not at sea, we would like to think we will be able to get connected about once a week, but in some more remote areas and islands this may not be possible.

GIVING US WORK TO DO

Paul worked throughout his ministry (as a tent-maker), as did most of the other disciples and apostles. We are eager to work for our income, and to tithe to the Lord for His blessings! We welcome any work you can give us, such as web site design, printed material and graphic design, writing services, data entry/computer work, electronics work (for Andrew), etc. For more details, please visit our WORK page.

SPONSORING EQUIPMENT

We would be delighted to carry the names of our sponsors on the equipment they finance or provide. If you would like to sponsor a specific item, or part of it, please email us as above.

ADVERTISING

We will be accepting advertisements for our quarterly magazine, "ChristLight Chronicles", which will be produced in eBook format (PDF for Adobe Acrobat) so that it can be printed out by anyone. More details later, or you can email us as above.

If you are donating an amount above £10.00, please email us your address and we will send you a copy of Rowland Evans's book "My Sea is Wide" as a thank you gift. If you would like to give a sum of any amount of money towards our mission, you can do so in the following ways. Please note these are set up in the name of our publishing company, Sunpenny Publishing, and not ChristLight itself at this stage.
